Cedar Ridge Farm

Cedar Ridge Farm held a Fall Fun Show on November 2, 2008. It was a great time for all who participated. While their show was going on, they put out a donation jar for ERLSI, and sent us their generous donation. We would like to thank them for thinking of us!

Congratulations Kathy from California!
22/06/2008

Kathy has just graduated, finishing with her nursing masters degree. This is a big deal for anyone, but especially for Kathy, she is over 60! Her nephew Dyson, and his brother want her to know that they are very proud of her, and since she is a horse lover, they have made a generous donation to ERLSI in her name as a graduation gift.

Thank you guys, and again, Congratulations Kathy!

Eight More Horses!
27/03/2008

Over the last week we have aquired eight more horses. They came from Hendricks County up by Indianapolis, IN. We don't normally go up that far to rescue horses, but we were asked by Indiana Horse Council and Hendricks County Animal Control if we could help out, so we did. We really didn't expect to bring eight home either, we went up there expecting to bring only three back with us. However, when we got there Mary Ann (Hendricks Co. Animal Control Officer) said that she had placed all but two of them, so we told her if she could place one of them, we would take one more. When we got home we spread the word about the one that she couldn't place, and found a possible home for her. Then we found out that the person who was supposed to take three of them could no longer take them. So guess what?

These are all very nice horses, two Quarter Horses, three Fresian mixes, and three Appaloosas. We aren't sure how many of them are broke to ride yet, but think maybe all but one is. They aren't up for adoption yet, as the owners are being prosecuted, but we hope to have them up for adoption soon.

When Hendricks County rescued these guys they were all scored at body scores of one. They are coming along very nicely though, and it won't be long before they are all fat and sassy!

Their photos will be on the "New Horse" page soon.
